MY 26 GIFTS TO SELF

July is actually my birth month and I just celebrated my actual birthday last July 26 at Oriental Korner Restaurant here in Abu Dhabi, UAE with just few of my closest friends here. Their shanghai is really yummy, you must try it. Then, I celebrated separately just exclusive for my flatmates in our house. I had so much fun and I love all the food prepared. Thank You to my big brother and to all who helped him prepare  all the foods.

But because I just survived my quarter life crisis and turned 26, I came up with a simple treat to myself as a celebration by giving myself gifts that corresponds to my age which is 26. I called it #My26GiftsToSelf for #Yrag26On26 and I uploaded it one by one on my Instagram account (@iamyarg26).

Here are MY 26 GIFTS TO SELF:

1. Orange Beach Shorts

Not that new anymore, I really love the beach. Getting tanned under the sun is not really a problem to me. The good thing that my new fave brand that I found at Dalma Mall is on sale. I love the orange color because it's too cool and catchy most especially for summer season. If not black or white, you might probably see me wearing bright colors. 

2. Printed Blue and White Beach Shorts

It's not too obvious how I'm so obsessed with beach shorts. it's another one that I bought at the same brand but in  a little higher price than the orange one. But i just love how cool the patterns are and that's it. 

3. Floral Navy Top Tee

Aside  from my beach shorts obsession lately, I'm also hooked with floral patterns for shirts. I just find it really suitable here in UAE due to it's hot weather that makes almost summer season the whole year. When I saw this shirt, I bought it right away and I love it.

4. Three Pack Summer Undies

I really don't have plan to buy undies during the time I shopped. I just bumped into it and checked its price because as what I said, they're on sale and luckily it's more than half it's real price so I decided to buy it also. I just love the earth colors yet still summer forward patterns. 

5. Mango Temptation Body Mist

I actually received a message (as what Al Shaya usually do) that they're on sale. My sisters and my mom loves this brand and I always buy them stuffs and send them in the Philippines. As I check on the different scents of their mist, I love how cool, not so sweet and not so girly scent of the Mango Temptation. So I decided to buy myself one. It's good fro everyday use.

6. Basic Greyish Black Tee

Outfitters alert! Yes! American Eagle is also on sale so I decided to purchase basic tees because I know that AE is actually good for their basics. A good thing because I lack basics on my closet.

7. Yellow/ Grey Top Tee

Bright colors really attracts me. But I don't usually wear yellow colored shirts because I am not so comfortable wearing them because of the fact that I feel so dark with it. But hey! People change and I give myself a try for something new. This purchased is really a good start to eventually like yellow.

8. Panda Kid's Backpack

You already might probably know that I collect Panda stuffs and I have plenty of them in my room here in UAE and at the time at the Philippines too. I'm eyeing this particular item even before. I just didn't buy it right away because I find it very costly. Good thing because Claires did a buy 2 get 1 offer and at the same time a price mark down. Without further hesitation, I already bought it on their first day of sale. 

9. Body Bag

I'm really into body bags even before. No matter of its size and colors, I really into it. That's why it's not a surprise that I purchased this one from Adidas. It's not that big and not even that small so it's the perfect size to use for hangouts and delights.

10. Leather Watch

I love watches but not to the point that I'm going to spend too much just to have one. But with The Watch House in Hamdan Center Branch, they had 50-70% discount on all their watches. That's the reason why I purchased this watch. I love its simplicity and classy look.

11. Black Pair of Shoes

I really want to have a pair of Adidas on my shoe rack. Almost everyone have two or more pairs but me? Oh believe me but I don't have yet. But, I just decided to purchase one and added it with #My26GiftsToSelf . Good thing because I saw this pair of Adidas at Dalma Mall. It's very comfortable and I love it because It's black and white. I want to have a black shoes and an Adidas too.  With this purchase, it's just like hitting two birds with one stone.

12. High Camo Socks

Lately, I've been so obsessed with high socks. Extremely obsessed with it. I can't really wait to use it. I'm glad that H&M is on sale. 

13. Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd Shirt

I really change mostly of my former "likes" when it comes to fashion. I'm no longer fan of body fit kind of clothing. I'm now in love with more comfortable style such loose clothing or oversize shirts. This one from H&M sale items is really cool. Aside from it's The Weeknd's choice, i love it's fabric. not the usual cotton thingy.

14. Precious Perfume
from Victoria Hills

I went to the perfume shop to actually buy for another CK Eternity because it's what I've been using for quite some time now. But I smelled varieties of scent with different brands and as what the salesman suggested to let me try Eau De Parfum for more long lasting scent. So I purchased Precious Perfume by Victoria Hills. I personally not so familiar with the brand, but I love the scent and it's worth the try.

15. Slippers

When my friends and I went to beach and had an early dip, unfortunately I lost my pair of havs. I don't have slippers at home anymore so I decided to purchase one. With 50-70% of Aero, I bought this pair of slippers with a very very low price. Very comfortable!

16. Bali Blue Surf Body Mist

But of course, my daily smell should not be just with one scent but rather  should be with an alternate scent too. This one is more of the ocean breeze scent that I really love. It's cool and really good for daily use. A must try.

17. Black with Golden Graphic Tee

It's another black top tee but this time it is a long tee. The cut is really nice. But above all, the golden graphic design in the front is what I really love.  it makes everything on point.

18. Paris For Men Lotion

from Bath & Body Works

Both my brother and I love this lotion from BBW. It is rare to be part of their sale. SO what we're doing is that when it is on sale, we stock up at least 4 or more. 

19. Insect Pattern Top Tee
from Bellfield

I personally love the small insects all over the shirt. As we all know almost all people hate insects most especially cockroaches, bugs, and other pesticides. This purchased is a unique one.  

20. Panda Stuffed Toy
from CityMax

Because I'm a collector of random panda stuffs, I usually make sure that I'll be purchasing a unique one or something that i don't have yet. This Kawaii style panda is not yet on my growing panda collection, so I bought it. 

21. Blue Long Tee
from Sneaker Freak

When I saw this one hanging while I'm checking shirts inside Barcode store, I'm quite hesitant about this one because it has different backside detail that I think I can't carry the usual way. But I dare myself to try it and I'm elated to use it soon. Just watch out for it soon.

22. Bluetooth Cap Headset

I didn't purchase this one. But luckily this is just a freebie of my new laptop and I'm amazed with it. it's my first time to see a cap with a built-in Bluetooth earphones. It's convenient most especially that I love listening to music and If I'm lazy fixing my hair, you'll always see me wearing caps or hats. SO this one really helps. 

23. Grey Casual Shoes

With all my shoes, Maybe I just have only one pair of casual shoes. It is probably because I'm into sneakers and street styles. But I just decided to buy a new one and I so love it. It's not the usual Toms that you can see from others and it is casual but yet so comfortably on the go. 

24. Durham 36MM Watch

The first DW watch that I had was bought last year before I went to the Philippines for my vacation. It was the male classic watch but unfortunately I broke it the day after my birthday last year. It's still with me and I still tried it to be fixed but unfortunately they can't do it. But maybe soon I'll still try it from other repair shops. But when I saw an online seller based in the Philippines selling DW and it's the leather one, so I checked it. Upon knowing the price which is right and affordable (It's actually on sale at that time) and a good thing that my friend's mother here in AUH will be going here, I asked favor from my friend to let her mom receive my purchased watch and bring it when she'll go here. And so she did. I love it!

25. Blue Ideapad 320 Laptop

I really planned to buy a laptop anytime soon but I didn't expect it to buy as quickly as what happened. Me and my colleague bought together that's why we both received the same freebies that iI added as #22. Aside from the laptop's specifications, it's actually the latest Lenovo Laptop, I also love the color. 

26. House & Lot
from Lumina Homes by Vista Land

For this one, I'm doubting if I will let this one be part. But I just wanna share that I just reserved a slot last July for house and lot in the Philippines most specifically in my province in La Union. It's under Lumina Homes by Vista Land and was introduced by a friend of mine. I even attended the seminar that opened my mind to try to invest as early as now. It's my dream to own a house so without hesitation, I reserved a slot right away. Hopefully, I can continue and may God help me with this.
